Hi, I’m Lara!

I’m originally from Sydney, but I’ve called the beautiful Blue Mountains home since 2007.

I absolutely love living on the doorstep to a stunning National Park, with the natural environment being a constant source of creative inspiration.

Photography has been a central part of my life from a young age; I don’t know how to not always be looking and obsessing over light…it is my true passion and enriches my life every day. I honestly feel so lucky to have a career doing what I LOVE! (I know how few people get to say that).

I find a lot of my inspiration through traveling and exploring; it fuels my adventurous spirit and my passion for street photography. I’m a lover of bushwalking (this is what you’ll likely find me doing on my days off), film, winter, animals (especially dogs), British comedy (if you like Toast of London then we are going to get along very well indeed), quality conversations with close friends in quaint beer gardens – and I couldn’t live without my favourite music.

I am an Associate Member of the (former) Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP), and was winner of the AIPP NSW Wedding Photographer of the Year.

My approach

I am proud of my genuine ability to tell stories visually. It’s one of the aspects of being a wedding photographer that I love the most; having the opportunity to observe and document every moment of your wedding day as it unfolds, and capturing and creating images that celebrate the very unique story that is you.

I’m a down-to-earth person by nature, so I’m most often in sync with couples who want a truthful, naturalistic, fun, authentic, and instinctive documentation of their day.
